Academic Excellence in Every Classroom

Forestville Elementary is committed to academic excellence, providing student with challenges and support that meets their strengths and needs. 

Learning and Leading

Forestville Elementary offers an education that goes beyond academics. Through our Specials classes, students are able to explore their interests and discover their hidden talents!  We offer music, art, physical education, creativity, and Portrait of a Graduate, as well as performing arts programs such as strings and band. Our students are also encouraged to explore a variety of leadership opportunities such as our Student Council Association, Patrols, and ForestVision, our school news show.

Enriching Field Trips

What elementary school experience would be complete without engaging and educational field trips? Each year our students get the opportunity to take trips to enhance their learning, from local farms to learn about lifecycles, to the Kennedy Center to watch the National Symphony Orchestra perform!  Field trips are beloved activities at Forestville.

Strong Traditions

We value traditions at Forestville! Each year, we look forward to our school musical, fun and engaging spirit weeks, and Forestville Fridays when we wear our school gear!  Field Day, the Fall Carnival, Bookfairs, and the 6th grade Kickball Game are also huge hits every year!  

PTA Partnership

Our PTA plays a huge role in supporting the needs of our school! They regularly sponsor a slate of before and after-school enrichment clubs, such as the Spelling Bee, Science and Math Olympiads, and a Spanish language program.

Nurturing Future Educators

Forestville's teachers are highly valued in our community for their dedication and commitment to student success.  We have a strong focus on developing and growing future teachers through our partnerships with local high schools and universities. We even have a handful of Forestville alumni currently teaching at Forestville!
