Honoring Our Veterans: A Day of Gratitude and Learning

Last week, our school community gathered to celebrate Veterans Day with a special assembly. We were honored to host several brave veterans who have served our country. Their sacrifices and dedication inspire us all.

The assembly was a powerful and moving experience, filled with patriotic songs, heartfelt speeches, and touching tributes. We were particularly grateful to Major General Vollmecke for his inspiring address. He spoke about the importance of the military and how S.O.A.R. behaviors – safe, open-minded, accountable, and respectful – are essential for success in all aspects of life.

Following the assembly, our veteran guests visited classrooms to share their stories and experiences. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about different branches of the military, and gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes.
