A Symphony of Sound: Our Field Trip to the Kennedy Center

Our fourth-grade students had an unforgettable experience at the Kennedy Center, attending the National Symphony Orchestra’s Young People’s Concert: “Philharmonia Fantastique” by Mason Bates. This inspiring performance introduced our young learners to the magic of orchestral music, captivating their imaginations and sparking a love for the arts.

The concert featured a captivating blend of classical and contemporary music, interwoven with words by renowned composers like Aaron Copland, Jessie Montgomery, Keeghan Fountain, and John Williams. The students were mesmerized by the powerful sounds of the orchestra, the conductor's graceful gestures, and the visual spectacle on stage.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the FCPS Fire Arts Program and the Kennedy Center for providing our students with this extraordinary opportunity. This field trip was a highlight of our school year, and we are grateful for the support that made it possible.
